Behringer FCA202 review

I have used one of these interfaces since their initial lauch, as a firewire interface it has gave me no problems and works flawlessly with both my Mac and PC systems. I use it by powering from the 6pin adapter cable but if your system is at it's power limite i.e. you have a small power supply and are running quite a few interfaces, drives, high end video card etc. I would reccoment that use use the supplied power supply and power it externally, I do not supper from power supply problems as I tend to use power supplys in my systems that are over specd for what is required. As this interface has standard 1/4" mono jack connections it is very easy to connect to any of you external audio hardware. The only problem that I find when I am using this device is lack of connectivity as I am used to having at least 8 ins and outs. This is because I always us ASIO drivers as I have never had any sync problems with them but if you are able to use WDM drivers without sync problems then it is possible to combine the FCA 202 with other interfaces to increase your ins and outs.

the FCA202 is supplied with Alberton Live which is a very useful tool (review will be posted later). So with it's low cost approx £70 (shop arround you may find it cheaper) and included software it's a very good buy.
