My Yamaha RM800 and all my outboard effects are patched in via these patchbays (I currently use 4). It give me the flexibility to have all my gear wired but be able to make up signal chains very quickly. I have never heard any bleed through on any of the channels. I really like the selectable normalization (half normal, parallel, etc) on each channel. On other patch bays you must remove and reseat a card to change this setting. On the Behringer it's a simple flip of a switch.
It's very easy to use once you descide what you are tring to patch, I found the best way was to get a large sheet of paper and draw out the patchbays and the connected equipment, then proceed with drawing in the connections, this not only made setting up the patchbay easy but gave me a master to refer to when labeling up the panel.
It is built very ruggedly, 1/4" plugs feel nice and snug plugging into the unit. I don't gig, but i could forsee dropping it without much problems due to the build quality. For a cheap patchbay it is built to last. Overall it's probobly the best buy in it's field. 48 patch points, 4 way switchable normaling.
As this is only a patchbay I can't really say much more. |
